The Story
Cultus firmly places the Vipava Valley on the global map with their refined approach to classic grape varieties. Their Pinot Blanc is a prime example of this winemaking philosophy. Grown on the mineral rich limestone slopes of Podraga, this variety gets all the room it needs to shine. Through low intervention winemaking and deep respect for the unique valley microclimate, Cultus crafts a white wine of exceptional purity. The international jury at the prestigious AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge was deeply impressed and awarded this bottle the silver AWC Vienna Silver 2026 distinction.
The Vibe & Tasting Notes
The Cultus Pinot Blanc 2024 is a wonderfully pure, elegant, and layered white wine. In the glass, it displays a bright golden hue. On the nose, you will find fresh notes of ripe yellow apple, juicy pear, white peach, and a delicate touch of elderflower and fresh almonds. The palate feels smooth and textured, yet maintains a thrilling mineral tension driven by the fresh valley winds. A remarkably versatile and elegant wine that pairs beautifully with delicate fish dishes, creamy pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Why natural wine costs more, and why it’s worth it
-
No shortcuts
Growers who refuse pesticides and chemical additives accept that they’ll lose a significant part of their harvest to weather, disease, and unpredictable nature, but they do it to keep their wines pure, alive, and honest.
-
Risk and loss
Nature swings between plenty and scarcity; frost, hail, heat and ferments can erase volumes, fewer bottles must carry the farm’s costs, with ageing measures adding expense to keep the wine clean and true over time.
-
Integrity and handwork
Hands replace chemicals: they weed, manage canopies, pick, and sort by hand; presses and gravity moves protect texture, while cleanliness and patient ageing deliver purity without shortcuts, increasing labor but preserving integrity in every bottle.
