For co founder Merijn, this edition feels like coming home. Five years ago, his adventure in the wine world began with importing exclusively Spanish natural wines. When the opportunity arose to curate the ultimate Troebel summer box, the destination was immediately clear: we are heading back to Spain.

We are traveling to the sun drenched hills of Pinell de Brai in the Terra Alta region. Here we find two absolute legends we have wanted to work with for years: Sergi from Ca Foracaime and Laureano from Mendall. It never quite worked out in the past, but for this summer edition, the stars finally aligned. We even managed to secure a fantastic bottle from Laureano' daughter Alicia!

For these winemakers, everything revolves around life in the vineyard. As Sergi beautifully puts it: healthy soil, healthy trees, healthy grapes, healthy wines, healthy people. Through regenerative agriculture and a deep respect for local traditions, they craft their wines in the land rather than in the cellar. They listen strictly to what the grapes and the extreme Mediterranean weather dictate.

The flow of this box is an ultimate summer celebration. We start with a bang pouring the Waterfly pet nat by Sergi, followed by the incredibly juicy Terme de Guiu Arrosé from Mendall and Sergi his traditional Micalet orange wine. We then continue the party with the sparkling white PET NAighT by Alicia , a crystal clear Rosat by Sergi, and as an impressive finale, the Barrica de Thierry by Laureano.
